Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 27, 2026 • Applies to: All Applications & Services Developed by Dynamic Byte
This Privacy Policy outlines how Dynamic Byte ("we", "our", or "us") manages, protects, and handles information across all of our mobile applications, software tools, and related services published on platforms including the Google Play Store and Apple App Store (collectively, the "Applications").
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to all current and future applications, software modules, and services provided under the Dynamic Byte developer entity (including apps with the package namespace us.dynamicbyte.*, such as Voice Notes and associated productivity, enterprise, or utility applications).
2. Information We Handle & How It Is Used
A. Locally Stored Data (Client-Side Storage)
Most Dynamic Byte applications operate with complete local autonomy. Any content you generate within our applications (such as notes, documents, configurations, preferences, or cached records) is stored exclusively on your device's local storage (e.g., SQLite, AsyncStorage, or Sandboxed Local Storage). This data is never automatically transmitted to or hosted on our servers.
B. Device Hardware Permissions & Sensor Data
Depending on the specific application functionality, our apps may request access to certain hardware features:
- Microphone & Audio Processing (e.g.,
RECORD_AUDIO): Used strictly in dictation, recording, and speech recognition applications (such as Voice Notes). Audio captured during active recording sessions is processed in real time via on-device or native operating system speech frameworks (such as Android SpeechRecognizer or Google Speech Services). We never record background audio, and we never transmit or store your raw voice recordings on external servers. - Storage & Media Access: If requested, storage permissions are used solely to allow you to import, export, or back up your user-generated files on your device.
- Network State & Internet Access: Used exclusively to facilitate application updates, verify license states, or communicate with native platform APIs when explicitly requested by you.
C. Operating System Speech & Platform Frameworks
When you utilize voice dictation or text-to-speech features, transcription services are handled via your device’s operating system framework. These native platform services operate under Google's standard Android Privacy Policy or Apple's standard iOS Privacy Policy.
D. Diagnostic, Crash, and Anonymous Telemetry Data
To ensure stability and performance, applications distributed via the Google Play Store may send anonymized technical diagnostic data (such as app crash logs, device model, and OS version) through standard platform reporting mechanisms (Google Play Console crash reporting). This information cannot be used to identify individual users.
3. Third-Party Services & Libraries
Our applications may interface with trusted platform providers for distribution, performance, and updates:
- Google Play Services: Used for secure app distribution, binary integrity, and in-app updates (Google Privacy Policy).
- Expo / React Native Frameworks: Open-source application runtimes operating locally on your hardware.
We do not integrate third-party ad networks, tracking pixels, or data-broker SDKs in our productivity applications.
4. Data Retention and Deletion Rights
Because your user data resides locally on your device, you maintain complete and total control over data retention:
- Instant Deletion: You can delete individual files, notes, or entries directly within the application at any time.
- Complete Purge: You can permanently delete all app data by clearing the application storage via your device settings or by uninstalling the application.
- Deletion Requests: If you use any optional cloud-connected feature in future enterprise services, you may request permanent deletion of your account or data by emailing admin@dynamicbyte.us.
5. Security of Your Information
We implement standard, modern security practices to protect your data. Local data is isolated within the sandboxed application environment provided by your operating system. Any external network transmissions (such as software update checks or API communications) utilize modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS) encryption.
6. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)
Dynamic Byte applications do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take prompt steps to remove such information.
7. Global Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA / CPRA)
Under international privacy regulations (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation and California Consumer Privacy Act), users hold the following rights:
- The right to know what personal data is collected and how it is processed.
- The right to access, export, rectify, or erase your data.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time without penalty.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new applications, feature enhancements, or legal requirements. When updates occur, the revised date at the top of this document will be updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
